Aguada beach is situated 4km away from Sinquerim beach in the North Goa. The most attractive feature about Aguada beach in Goa is the Fort Aguada. The Fort Aguada was built by the Portugese and a visit to the fort will take you back to the days of their rule especially in the Lighthouse Jail. There are also several churches by the Aguada beach in Goa which are worth visiting. Aguada Beach is also famous for water sports like the Water Sports at Baga Beach which is 8km away. Foreign tourists mainly flock at the Fort Aguada and at the churches at the Aguada beach in Goa.

The Fort Aguada was built by the Portuguese in 16th century to control the entry of the enemies into River Mandovi and to protect Goa from attacks. A view of the beach from the Fort Aguada is a pleasant site and will soothe your eyes. A fantastic view of the Golden beaches down the borders of Maharashtra state can be obtained from the ramparts of Fort Aguada. Aguada beach, Goa is always so colorful and vibrant with so many foreign and native visitors gathered together and all of them are mainly there to visit Fort Aguada.

A Famous Hotel Complex at Aguada Beach, Goa

Fort Aguada hotel complex is a superb and attractive hotel that is built on the cliff and the Aguada beach of Goa  is almost synonymous with this hotel. Visitors flood at this hotel that is built around the remnants of this early 17th century Portuguese fort. The hotel is private and the access to the Aguada beach is not possible through the hotel grounds. You can walk along the Aguada beach side to see numerous cottages as part of the hotel on the upper reaches of the hillside. Aguada Beach is situated around 8km away from Baga Beach in North Goa.
